Clickless Temporay Navigation in Google personal pages

I use google personal home page to see my emails and interesting news from Slashdot.

I wrote to google today to enhance the feature:-

I have configured my google personal page and see my gmail emails and slashdot articles.
This service can be improved if you add a feature to show the contents when the mouse is moved over the hyperlink. It can be shown like a superimposed image on the current webpage ( not 100% but may be a quarter page)
A profile option can be used to set the number of seconds the superimposed image will stay on screen. A timer will also show the countdown in seconds. If I want to view it for some more time, I will point my mouse at a "step-up" counter to increase the time-out. Once time-out happens, I will be back to my portal.

I welcome other portals to use this feature.
